Roxanne has written six books, three are middle school mysteries, under her pen name R.L. Walker. She understands both the writing process and the teaching of the process.

Her writing club has free writing opportunities along with specific modules all focused on creative narrative writing. Tips for Highschool Students Considering College
Do NOT pay for scholarship information! There are plenty of FREE Scholarships and resources. Try FASTWEB and GOING MERRY .

Columbus high school guidance counselor, Kristen Dickerson, encourages students to work directly with universities to which they are applying. About 90% of scholarship money comes directly from the institutions. It is great to apply to some scholarships outside of the universities, but the odds of winning them are usually low.

Each college or university has a Net-Price Calculator on their website which provides an accurate cost to attend. Try it “Net Price Calculator" and type in the name of your school.
